The Show-Me Healthy Women Project provides free mammograms and pap smears to women who meet certain income and age guidelines. This project has been established to help detect breast and cervical cancers in their earliest stages when they are easiest to treat.
WISEWOMAN: Cardiovascular Health Services
WISEWOMAN is a program that provides access to free health screenings and lifestyle education services for low-income Missouri women to help reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke. The cardiovascular health screenings measure blood pressure, cholesterol, blood glucose, waist circumference, and body mass index. To qualify for WISEWOMAN services, women must first receive services from Show Me Healthy Women's breast and cervical cancer control project and be 35 years of age or older.
